Dallas Resident to Debut Play Chronicling Dysfunctional Women

Playwright Kristol Hill writes and directs “Woman: The Monologue” a stage play about the struggles and eventual healing of eleven women at various stages of their lives.

Sept. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- When Dallas resident Kristol Hill decided to start Kart Ministries and Productions she had two things in mind, 1) to create entertainment vehicles that showcased local talent and 2) to bring to life the visions God had given her to create stage plays with a message and that also glorified Him.

After much prayer, overcoming of obstacles and hard work the vision will manifest in “Woman: The Monologue” a stage play that takes you into the lives of eleven different women, with eleven very dysfunctunal personalities.

“I believe women who come to see “The Monologue” will laugh, cry, gasp and see themselves in the characters in this play” says Kristol.  “I’m not saying all women are dysfunctional but we can put ourselves in some dysfunctunal  situations.”

What makes the play unique is that Ms. Hicks makes herself transparent in the play as one of the eleven characters, which by the way are all Dallas area actors.

“We all have issues that we are dealing with and unless we become transparent and allow God to heal us we will continue to make the same mistakes over and over again” she continues.

“Woman: The Monologue” runs November 17 and 18, 2012 at the Granville Arts Center ,   Brownlee Auditorium, 300 N 5th Street, Garland, TX 75046.  Tickets are $20.
Showtimes are Saturday November 17th at 7:00pm and Sunday November 18 at 6:00pm.
