As CEO and President of Ashunti Residential Management Inc, Regina D. Lewis creates homes for low-income people in places where “affordable housing” is an oxymoron. As rents and property values soar sky high, she works to create a refuge where prices stay down. Over two decades, Ms. Lewis continues to maintain the highest professional standards, and has established EAH housing (Employer-Assisted Housing) as a respected advocate locally, regionally and nationally. Ms. Lewis persists to build developments in solidly anti-growth environments, and she still maintains her idealism in a very material world.
“Regina is a relentless crusader for affordable housing in the two markets that almost defy the definition, Chicago,” said Mica Woods, The Mildred Franks Foundation (President and CEO). “She has the knowledge, the energy and the passion to overcome the obstacles and road blocks on the road to affordable housing. She believes in the power of collaboration between non-profit organizations, elected officials, business leaders and the community. Regina has accomplished extraordinary things and made ARMS INC. a force to be reckoned with. We all salute her efforts and her achievements.”
