PRLog -- The Trio World School lend a helping hand for a social cause on the 28th of September 2012 by organizing a fund raising event, the proceeds of which was donated to Vathsalya Charitable Trust to pay for a life-saving surgery of an abandoned 18 month old baby girl, Ankita. The Middle School students (Years 7, 8 & 9) along with the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) conducted the event. The entire school joined hands and contributed used books, magazines and CD’s. The event culminated into a spectacular sale of over 3000 used books (priced from Rs 10 onwards). This was also supported by cake stalls & games which were well organized by exuberant students and initiative parents. These vibrant groups of children and parents managed to raise a whopping sum of Rs.1,25,000 in just 2 hours. School's Managing Director, Mr. Naveen K.M, made a generous contribution of Rs.50,000 for the cause. In his words, “To believe in a cause, whether big or small will always make us understand the true value of mankind.” Not only have these children shown the community that one person’s trash could be another’s treasure, but also gave a whole meaning to understand that life is indeed precious. They have worked passionately to raise the much needed funds that could save Ankita’s life.
