Local Youth Prepare to Compete at 2nd Annual 805’s Got Talent Showcase Sunday, October 7th

Sept. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- (VENTURA, CA--Friday, September 28, 2012) The city of Oxnard and surrounding areas have once again banded together to present the “805’s Got Talent” industry showcase. The event now in its 2nd year, will take place on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center (OPAC/PACC), located at 800 Hobson Way, Oxnard, CA 93030.

Festivities kick-off at 1pm with VIP red carpet and doors open for general admission at 2pm. The talent show begins promptly at 3pm. Guests can look forward to a talented mix of youth showing off their singing, dancing, and acting skills; competing to win the grand prize. Vendors and information booths will also be available (early arrival highly suggested).

This year the host for the talent show will be former radio personality and community activist Santiago Romero. Guest judges include Erica Duff (Dancer and Creator of Generic Clothing), Maripat Davis (Actress and Singer), Miss Alynette(Personality Q104-7 Radio), Evan Sula-Goff (Vocalist, 8STOPS7) and COSO (Professional Bass Player).

Also set to appear are ATM and IMD. The rap duo will get the crowd hype with a live performance of their hit single "Bernie Lean".

“805’s Got Talent” was created to provide a platform for hometown talent to excel through performing arts education. Since its founding in 2010, the organization has worked with local media, businesses and government representatives to expand its reach in the community—providing resources and funds for youth to reach their full potential as entertainers.
