WHO:   Smokey Robinson is headlining a benefit concert for Pastor Frank and P. Bunny Wilson of New Dawn Christian Village Church.

Pastor Frank Wilson, a longtime friend of Robinson, was diagnosed with cancer 5 years ago and passed away on September 27, 2012. The proceeds from the concert will go towards Wilson’s medical expenses.

WHAT:   A Benefit Concert to Honor Pastor Frank Wilson

WHEN:   TOMORROW, September 29, 2012 at 4:30 pm

WHERE:   The event will be held at the Ramon C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts (Downtown Los Angeles), located at 450 North Grand Avenue.

WHY:   This benefit is designed to pay homage and celebrate the life of Pastor Frank Wilson:

Pastor Frank, a counselor to pastors, politicians, entertainers, businesspersons and many others, was a leader in numerous national and international ministries, as well as a leading producer in the booming Gospel music field.  Formerly a popular record producer, Wilson was an author and a teacher/preacher conducting seminars while speaking and preaching at conferences both at home and abroad.
Dr. Frank Wilson, author and teacher, a former award winning record producer and songwriter, founded Fellowship West International, a trans-denominational umbrella organization for the Christian Entertainer’s Fellowship (CEF) organized in 1977, Fellowship West Youth Ministry & Breakaway Youth Conferences which began in 1988, along with the Christian Business and Professional Fellowship, and Dayspring Singles & Married Couples Conferences.  

NOTES:   The honorable Frank Wilson’s homegoing service will be next Friday, October 5, at 10:30am at The Tabernacle (Faithful Central Bible Church), located at 321 North Eucalyptus Avenue in Inglewood, 90302. Dr. Clifford Ashe III, of Dayspring Ministries in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, will officiate. Pastor John Jenkins, of First Baptist Church of Glenarden, will deliver the eulogy.
