Sept. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Loss Reimbursement Funds Still Available

Rural Ulster Preservation Company (RUPCO), www.rupco.org, is accepting applications from business owners seeking reimbursement for losses as a result of last year's hurricane and tropical storms. The grant funding available was secured by Ulster County from the New York State Office of Community Renewal to reimburse business owners for structural, equipment or inventory losses that were not covered by FEMA or by insurance policies.

Focus on Businesses Hardest Hit

The focus will be on assistance to businesses in the towns of Shandaken and Olive that were hard hit by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. However, businesses in other areas are also eligible. Preferred businesses will be located in a main street setting such as the hamlets of Phoenicia, Boiceville, and Mount Tremper. Main street businesses in other areas of the county may be also be eligible and should apply. Applications can be picked up at RUPCO offices at 301 Fair Street in Kingston.
