Sept. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis.  – Families looking for a “spooktacular” way to celebrate Halloween and all of the fun that fall has to offer should escape to the Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort, located in Wisconsin Dells.

At the resort’s Tombstone Town Haunted Hotel, the guests who have checked in certainly won’t be checking out! The tour begins inside a seemingly endless Mineshaft Mirror Maze that twists around until participants begin to question their own sanity. Once they emerge, it is time to enter the haunted old west hotel and saloon. There, guests will witness some gruesome sights and spectral haunts that are certain to make their heart trip, starting from the old hotel’s lobby right through the stables, and delivering them directly to the hangman’s noose. This attraction is not recommended for younger children. (Warning to the meek: There will be extra scares on Fri & Sat (10/26-27) before Halloween.)

Tombstone Town is open to the public daily from 3 - 9 pm Monday – Thursday; 3- 11 pm Fridays; 11 am - 11 pm Saturdays and 11 am - 9 pm Sundays.  It costs: $8.95 per person. For more information visit: http://www.wildernessresort.com/resort-attractions/indoor...

The Wilderness has even more fun in store, every Saturday in October! There will be a variety of fun Halloween and fall-themed activities for resort guests. They will include: Halloween-themed Duck Races in Klondike Kavern’s lazy river, horse-drawn wagon rides to the resort’s mini-pumpkin patch from 10-1 pm, and costumed Trick or Treating around the resort for children from 2-4 p.m. The WildKids Club team will also be leading make-your-own caramel apples in the Wild WaterDome from 3-4 pm.

During Halloween weekend, on Friday, October 26, there will be a Monster Mash Dance for resort guests at 7 p.m., complete with a costume contest at 8 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for five different age categories. On Saturday night, the 27th, there will be a “Flick & Float” movie night in the Wild WaterDome providing guests the opportunity to float in the wave pool (without waves) while enjoying The Lorax on a big screen.
