It’s really quite simple. World leaders, by and large, have no respect for Obama, and he knows it. Most of the American public may not be aware of this because the media select, filter and practice outright censorship of foreign reports, opinions, and political commentary about Obama ever since he was elected President in 2008.

It’s what the rest of the world thinks about Obama that really counts in foreign affairs. This President knows it and he does not like it. After all he embraced the Nobel Peace Prize forced upon him but now is seen as an apologetic and naive  leader whose indecisions led to unprecedented global unrest and terrorism. Yet by ignoring the foreign leaders he only displays arrogance of power and confirms the beliefs and opinions of the world about himself and of America as a whole.

To start with Americans are hated throughout the world because they are affluent. Period. That’s the basic issue whether you like it or not. The rest of the world are like herds of wild animals struggling for survival and a place in the sun. American foreign policy throws scraps of foreign aid to those predators hoping to turn them into their democratic pets. But it was President Roosevelt who said: “no man can tame a tiger into a kitten by stroking it”. This is as true today as it was during the Pearl Harbor days.

You can get an excellent idea of what the world thinks of America in general and Obama in particular by following an endless flood of foreign political cartoons on this subject. I already researched, compiled, and analyzed political cartoons featuring Obama from numerous foreign sources in over 40 countries ranging from Argentina through China, Cuba, to the UK and Yemen.

Many of such cartoons have never been seen in America because they are considered politically incorrect, insulting, vulgar, racist, or defamatory by the American media. Others are in foreign languages. As a result most Americans have no idea what the world really thinks of them.

Obama’s repeated appeasement postures only earn him disappointment at best but also a lot of disrespect and even disdain and outright contempt. Interestingly Germany was leading the world in welcoming election of Obama as President of the United States in 2008. After seeing his incompetence, naivete, and indecision, eneveloped with ever present apologies the Germans have lost their enthusiasm for the man and their confidence in Obama dropped to eleventh place. This is reflected, more than in any other country, by a flood of very critical and risque Obama cartoons and satirical floats during street carnivals, designed to ridicule Obama and his foreign policy.

Many of the tamer cartoons focus on Obama’s appeasement behaviour extensively. He is shown apologizing to Taliban for the Koran burning incident by kissing an imams behind and you will also find Obama shown bowing to Saudi king unnecessarily. He is also presented in an even lower, almost prostrate position, in front of Emperor Akihito of Japan who asks: “So-is he apologizing for Nagasaki or Hiroshima?” And of course he is shown on his knees in front of China Communist Party leader while in another cartoon he kisses him and Hugo Chavez of Venezuela.

Interestingly communist countries like China, Cuba or North Korea do not ridicule Obama in their state controlled media as ferociously as Germany, Israel, UK, or Brazil and Argentina. There is even an amusing cartoon in which Obama uses the torch of the Statue of Liberty to light the cigar of Fidel Castro who comments that: “at last he does not fear it will explode in his face”.

All this means Obama is not seen or expected to be someone who can draw a red line anywhere. There is even suspicion in some quarters that Obama is prepared to tolerate a nuclear Iran. That would make him the Great Proliferating Appeaser and the world will not forget him for ever.

Nuclear Terror Geopolitics Research

21st Century  Research evaluates developing nuclear terror threats from non-government organizations (NGO's) who may want to resort to political blackmail using  nuclear weapons and devices. This is seen as the greatest threat for which most countries are not prepared.
