Global travel fair debuts in San Francisco

California is playing host to the inaugural OneWorld Travel Mart (OTM). Set for 27-28 Sept, 2012, at the Concourse, the OTM will connect international and local destinations and suppliers with the silicon valley travel trade.

Sept. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- SAN FRANCISCO – California, a top market for international and domestic tourists, is playing host to the inaugural OneWorld Travel Mart (OTM).  Set for 27-28 September, 2012, at the Concourse in downtown San Francisco, the OTM will connect international and local destinations and suppliers with the silicon valley travel trade.

Located in San Francisco’s Concourse Exhibition Center, the OTM will offer a two-day B2B focus designed to connect international and domestic sellers with thousands of U.S. tour operators, travel agents, media planners and travel writers. The trade program includes destination and product training seminars and one-to-one meetings.

The two full trade days has destination workshops, face-to-face appointments and networking opportunities that bring together U.S.-based buyers with international sellers.

Following the trade program, the show will expand to a two-day consumer festival on the weekend 29-30 September, highlighting domestic and international destinations, travel experts and entertainment, family activities and deals for the travelers.

The San Francisco Travel Show (SFTS) will be open to the public on the weekend 29-30 September.

120 Exhibitors from Around the World include Cruise Lines, Exotic Destinations, Tour Operators, California Getaways, Global Vacation Ideas and much more! Show special pricing and discounts will be available for vacation bookings.

Continuous Travel Presentations by Industry Experts, like Gay Travel by Ed Salvato, PBS TV’s Grannies on Safari , “Practical Nomad” by Edward Hasbrouck , Wildlife expert Josh Cohen and “Travel the World for $100/Day” will be made on the show floor.

Additionally, visitors can win great prizes including a South Africa photo safari, trip to Fiji, and U.S. vacation provided by Virgin Vacations.

Fresh off their appearance at the London Olympics -VOENA Children’s Choir will perform uplifting & magical ethnically diverse music, on Sunday.

The OTM & SFTS is planned to be an annual feature in San Francisco’s event calendar.
