As Brian says, "With escalating tuition fees, and external expenses continuously on the rise, today's students need all the help they can get to save money while living on their own as a full-time student". 'How To Be A Money Smart Student' gives teens information in a number of categories dealing with college life. Students get tips in areas such as Transportation, Groceries, Entertainment and Campus Life.
"Nothing in the book is really rocket science - but it's information which many teens wouldn't think about on their own", says Hostick. "Students can use the information to cut costs, and reduce the amount of money they need to save or borrow for their education."
The book is an extension of the Author's blog, http://www.moneysmartstudents.com. The website is a resource for students with helpful information and links to other websites students will find useful.

About the Author
While researching personal finance, Brian Hostick found a disturbing fact. Today's teens aren't getting very much formal education in regards to handling their money. This is leaving many new college students without the resources needed to survive on their own as they leave home for school, and control their own finances - many for the first time in their lives.
Hostick began the Money Smart Student program to give students a place to find information, and answer their questions regarding smart money management.
Brian Hostick is a married father of three teenage boys and resides in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
