GREENVILLE BAPTIST ASSOCIATION, GREENVILLE DIALYSIS OFFICES

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Moss & Associates completed a design-build renovation project for the Greenville Baptist Association. The project, completed in May 2012, was on time and under budget.

The 10,000-square-foot renovation of the association’s headquarters, located at 220 Howe Street in Greenville, was two-fold consisting of the Greenville Baptist Association occupying 3,000 square feet of the renovated space for offices, and the balance of the building refitted for a new tenant, American Renal Associates’ Greenville Dialysis Center. Both entities moved into the renovated building in May, but the dialysis center began accepting patients in August.

“Moss & Associates were thorough in every aspect of planning the project,” said Ronald E. Davis, director of missions at Greenville Baptist Association. “They were excellent at anticipating issues that might arise, therefore eliminating many of the ‘surprises’ that are to be expected when doing a demolition and reconstruction project.”

As part of the Greenville Baptist renovation, Moss made improvements to the existing building’s exterior and infrastructure utilities.  The interior office space accommodates the Association’s office staff, while also allowing “flex” space for meetings and other Association business.  Renovations for the dialysis center included replacement of the building’s existing load-bearing masonry wall with structural steel to give the space the “open” operational space it requires.  With all new interior finishes, the space is designed to accommodate as many as 20 patients at a time, while also allowing adequate area for staff members.

“This was a great opportunity for all parties involved.  The Greenville Baptist Association was able to improve their facility.  The Greenville Dialysis Center now also has a premiere location from which to serve their patients.  We feel privileged to have been a part of the team to complete the project.” said Project Manager Steve Foushee of Moss & Associates.
