“We are pleased to be able to be part of this campaign and to support such a worthy cause.  It’s certainly part of our mission, as a local retailer, to support our community and we are pleased to be able to help CSC-MSS continue its good work” says Liz Stafford, store manager.

CSC-MSS, which is located in Norwell and a division of the NVNA Foundation, is one of fifty Cancer Support Communities throughout the US, and, the only CSC affiliate in New England. Its mission is to provide support, education and hope to people on the South Shore who have been impacted by cancer - offering support groups, stress reduction and healthy living programs and educational workshops – all of which are offered at no cost to participants.

“We understand that for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and for all people who have been diagnosed with cancer, there is both a physical and emotional impact.  Our programs are open to people who have been diagnosed and to their caregivers, so that they can be with others who are on the same path and can truly understand the day-to-day realities of living with cancer” says Tim Cummings, MSW Program Director at CSC-MSS.  “We want to do our best to make sure that people impacted by cancer don’t have to face this experience alone.  Our goal is to make sure the emotional impact of cancer is responded to.”
