Alto and 2nd. Alto. Accompanist will be provided. If you have your own music, in your key, be prepared to sing a ballad and an up-tune. If you do not have work prepared for the audition, we will sing you and ask you to do some simple movement, to music. If you have a contemporary, comedic monologue, be prepared to do it also. If you do not, we will ask you to do a cold reading from the script. Please call Bob Carter before October 7 to reserve your slot in the casting, 561-301-2588. About the show: It's 1950-something, and Kaye, Peggy, Cheryl and Donna, four singing sisters from Muncie, Indiana are making their national television singing debut. "Spotlight on Music," a fictitious weekly 1950's television show on the real-life Dumont Television Network, sets the framework for an evening of some of the greatest hits of the 1950's. A tribute to the girl groups of the 1950's, “The Taffetas” pay tribute to the sounds of The McGuire Sisters, The Fontaine Sisters and The Chordettes. Opening Off-Broadway almost two years before "Forever Plaid," “The Taffetas” made nostalgia what it is today! Spend an hour and a half with “The Taffetas” and their three piece band and remember what Sunday night television was like on your 12-inch black and white screen! End
