PRLog (Press Release)
- Sep. 27, 2012 -
September 15, 2012, San Francisco, CA. Ted Frank, President and CEO of Backstories Studio announced today that he will be presenting at the 2012 Annual QRCA Conference taking place in Montreal, Quebec, Canada October 3-5. His workshop, one of only 25 from experts around the globe, is entitled “Storytelling:
How to Actually Tell an Insights Story to Far Reaching Clients.” Frank’
s workshop will be on Thursday, October 4th at 10:30am EST.
Frank admits that “Storytelling is a hot buzzword, but what does it really mean? Has anyone ever actually broken down how to actually do it?” In this workshop, Frank will do that by reviewing what clients and stakeholders are looking for in storytelling, techniques for mapping out an insights story, how you showcase consumer insights by applying some of the same techniques used in movies, and much more. Attendees will walk away with the advanced storytelling techniques that deliver not just consumer understanding, but also reach clients on the emotional level that will make them care enough to act.
This workshop is targeted to QRC’s who desire to make a bigger difference through better insights. To learn more about the workshop and register for the conference visit qrca.org.
Ted has been an insights storyteller for eleven years, but began (shamefully)
as an advertising creative who did not value insights. But after becoming creative director at Cheskin and finally getting close enough to research to truly feel consumers, Ted found his calling. Now, with his colleagues at Backstories Studio, he uses movie-style storytelling to bridge the gap that often keeps insights from being used. Their deliverables help clients not only understand insights more easily, but become inspired enough to take action and begin using them in a whole new way. Recently, his storytelling was featured in Quirk's magazine.
Backstories Studio’s approach can be summarized as “strategic communication meets cinematic storytelling”
so this workshop format is a natural addition to their already diverse menu of product and service deliverables. Clients can be assured that no matter which methodologies they choose to employ, Backstories Studio’s team will provide them with a unique, custom deliverable presentation that will showcase their data and insights in a brand new way.
