As part of an international campaign, Volkswagen Middle East invited the ten top scoring Facebook users of the “Think Blue. World Championship.”
The final, held at The Change Initiative, required each participant to undertake two driving sessions in a Golf 1.4 TSI in order to measure their techniques and fuel efficient driving skills. The eight participants took to the roads of Dubai and were monitored with data recorders in each car measuring fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and engine speed. After their first drive Volkswagen Middle East provided a training session in order to heighten the driver’s awareness of more efficient driving, and show that all drivers can make their own personal contribution to environmental protection without sacrificing driving pleasure.
