AWI Financial's data center will operate with just over a megawatt of power for computing capacity, but is still designed be energy efficient and include a backup power system to offer customers uninterrupted service. Construction of the data center started in January of this year and was completed 2 months ahead of schedule. As the central hub of the Corporation's global computing needs, the Hong Kong data center will continue to host many of the critical, day to day information. In addition, the data center will continue to host the Corporation's disaster recovery systems, voice and data telecommunications, help desk applications, email services, and all the information back up for the company’s websites.
