Checking in on New Year’s Resolutions, Nine Months Later

(September 24, 2012) – While more than half of Americans make New Year’s resolutions only eight-percent of resolutions will actually be achieved, according to the University of Scranton Journal of Clinical Psychology. In 2012 the number one New Year’s resolution is to lose weight. Fast forward nine months, over 200 members of the Winners Circle program are still going strong striving to be healthier and lose weight.  Not all 200 have been in the program since that fateful January 1, 2012 date, but many have.  Aries has been adding new members throughout the year that want to get healthy and lose weight.

When resolving to lose weight the mantra “dress for success” is a key element; wearing clothes that feel good boosts body image. The Aries Apparel Winners Circle program invites women of all shapes and sizes to participate in a clothing exchange program, helping women feel great throughout their weight loss journeys.

“We’ve observed something interesting with our customers. Rather than shopping before beginning their new fitness programs women are coming in to shop after they’ve reached their weight-loss goals,” said Diana Marsden, Aries Apparel owner. “Usually this means women are working out in old, ill-fitting workout clothes and generally feel like they don’t deserve new, nice-fitting workout clothes until after they’ve reached their goals. Women deserve to feel great throughout their weight-loss journey.”

At any time during 2012, women can visit Aries Apparel to register for the Winners Circle program and receive a $20 gift card toward the purchase of new workout apparel. Upon registration Aries Apparel will record participant’s current clothing sizes; as a participant loses inches old, baggy workout clothes can be exchanged in the store for new workout clothes at 40 percent off.

Aries Announces Winners Circle Week

In celebration of hitting 200 members in the program, Aries has launched “Winners Circle Week”, October 1-7.  All new and existing members will receive double loyalty reward points that week.  In addition, if members bring in and sign up a friend they will get $10 loaded on their loyalty card.
