-- [Franklin Park, NJ] Trishna Amin is quickly proving to be far more than just your average modern day independent artist. Her latest EP “Rise”, released on August 7th, featuring the singles “You Sold Me” and “Fallin for You” are climbing the independent Pop/R&B charts and are receiving a great deal of Internet radio play. News of the record release spread over the Internet like wild-fire, and she continues to add new fans to her already large fan base minute by minute.
In addition to the success of her new record, Trishna has obtained a licensing opportunity for a song she co-wrote from her previous album “Icebreaker”
, released earlier this year in February. The remix to the song, “Dheemi Hawa” will be featured in a dance sequence in the independent film “Pyar Mein Kyun”. The movie is earmarked for release on September 25th. A romantic song about surrendering to the ecstasy of love, Trishna will be showcased as the lead dancer and singer during the featured song that compliments the theme of the movie.
Trishna’s new EP “Rise” substantially differs from her previous offering “Icebreaker”
in many ways. Icebreaker exhibited her Bollywood side which is evidenced with her song “Dheemi Hawa” being accepted for, and featured in the upcoming film. With “Rise”, she delves into an edgier and more risky style, displaying more of her American roots. Although only a five song EP, as opposed to the eleven song full length album “Icebreaker”
, “Rise” tells stories of human emotion and more vivid coloring through intricate rhythms and instrumentation.
With her unique styling and serious musical versatility, Trishna’s extremely successful career, even though still in its infancy, is generating more and more buzz and is beginning to show signs of a break-through.
