CACA Will Sell Steve Jobs Sculptures without Apple’s Approval in Wake of the Latest Foxconn Riot

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 26, 2012 - “Think Different”, a Plastic Porcelain sculpture of Steve Jobs coated in an Apple White finish, was partially inspired by the artist’s growing concern for inhumane work conditions in an environment such as the Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn who is responsible for assembling the majority of Apple’s popular line of products like the newly released iPhone 5.

“We have become slaves to the consumption and production of technology,” said XVALA.  “The only thing upgrading is gadgets, not our behavior and practices.”

The “Think Different” sculpture will be mass produced and assembled solely in the United States, with a limited edition set coated in a Apple Black in response to the recent Foxconn riot, as well as, serve as a motif for the past suicides at the Foxconn factories that continue to grow.  

“This sculpture is everything we don’t want to know about the behind the scenes of producing technology,” said XVALA.  “We are just ‘users’ investing in upgraded conveniences and not humanity.”

“Everything about the Jobs’ sculpture from its creation to mass production conceptually emulates and speaks to a generation that will never be able to recognize a breaking point in humanity,” said Cory Allen.
