iPass Announces Mobile Data ROI Calculator for CIOs and IT Departments

Wi-Fi and enterprise mobility services leader, today announced the availability of its Mobility Cost Savings Calculator that will enable CIOs and IT managers to better understand the cost savings they can achieve with a Bring Your Own Network (BYON) plan. Additionally, the iPass Wi-Fi cost index research report is available that outlines the impact of unchecked mobile data roaming costs to business for European and
North American business travelers.

Mobile workers now carry an average of 3.5 devices when they travel, and 43 percent report experiencing smartphone bill shock, of nearly $1,100. For enterprises with increasing numbers of devices that require the support of multiple networks, a BYON plan reduces the cost of mobile data roaming with global Wi-Fi roaming access.

As a complement to the Mobility Cost Savings Calculator, the Wi-Fi Cost Index data compares data roaming and connectivity costs.
