The new MUT1222 electromagnetic insertion flowmeter is designed for water monitoring applications on small pipes where highly accurate bi-directional measurement is required. The meter is portable but can also be used as a permanent instrument on a range of pipe sizes between DN40 and DN1000.
Designed to operate at a pressure rating of 20 bar, the meter can accurately measure flow rates of between 0.25 and 8,500 cubic metres per hour depending on the size of the pipe. Easily programmed using MC608 software via a RS485/USB connection, the meter can also be used in conjunction with the Euromag Field Verificator – which is also available in the UK through Litre Meter.
The Verificator enables the meter’s performance to be checked on site without the need to stop the flow or costly removal and re-installation. The portable diagnostic tool simulates the electromagnetic sensor, measuring its current via the RS485 interface and storing the settings on a netbook for future tests. The Verificator also calibrates the 4-20 mA output and verifies the sensor’s integrity using a dedicated motherboard.
Also newly available in the UK through Litre Meter is the Euromag MUT2100EL sensor. It is IP67 rated and also available on request with an IP68 rating, making it suitable for permanent immersion in water up to a depth of 1.5 m.
Its Rilsan® coating protects the sensor’s metal parts from corrosion and chemical attack in applications where waste water, sea water, hydrocarbons, solvents and other chemical products are present.
It meets the requirements of standards BSI WIS 4-52-01, KIWA BRL K759-01 and UL 1091. The sensor is weatherproof and resistant to abrasion and shock. The sensor also absorbs vibration and can resist fluid temperatures of between -25 C and 80°C.
