The glasses are doing all the work and your eye muscles weaken because they are under-utilized. So it is important to learn to take your glasses off, especially in non-demanding, non-threatening situations.

That is a pretty tough position to be in, to be honest. My best advice is to do some eye muscle exercise to strengthen your eye muscle as well as wearing glasses only when you need to.
