Hollywood Film Director/Writer/Editor offers Readers What Kirkus Reviews Calls a “Delightfully grotesque and gothic tale. A devilishly good debut with an ending that’s pure evil.”

Iconic writer Gore Vidal had this to say: “This novel defines the classic supernatural thriller; grounded in realism, taking the reader to a terrifying place beyond the realms of natural law. Bravo.”

Making the jump from the big screen, Hollywood film director-writer-editor-turned-novelist Hubert de La Bouillerie offers readers an elegant flare to bloodletting and dark rites in his debut novel, Of Love and Evil The Birth, being released by Infinity Publishing September 26th, 2012. First in a trilogy, reviewers liken de La Bouillerie’s first title as "The Exorcist meets The Social Network…” (BlueInk Reviews) While others note that it’s a supernatural thriller that rivals Rosemary’s Baby and The Omen.

From the snowfields of Utah, the urban badlands of New York, and the stylish sprawl of Los Angeles, Of Love And Evil The Birth transcends time itself…the epic begins as young Brooke Mirande inherits full control of her mother Helen’s multi-media empire, Global Multi Media News, as well as a mysterious ruby ring, which she is told “to never remove”. A novice at business, Brooke is thrust into negotiations for GMMC’s merger with Robert Redman, the inventor of a new social media site called get-KNCTD, who happens to also be her former lover. The situation spins further out of control as peculiar and gruesome deaths claim more of Brooke’s friends and family. As the story pans back in time to a series of 1949 ritual murders in Zion National Park, it becomes clear that there’s a faith-based, possibly time-eternal conspiracy to which Brooke is linked by blood, sport, and game. De La Bouillerie ultimately writes a love story that’s not for the faint of heart. In fact, the fate of our world may rest in his heroine’s hands.
