Women Leaders of Faith Based Organizations Unite for 2012 S.H.I.F.T. Conference

Sept. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Atlanta, GA (September 18, 2012) – With millions of mothers, fathers and families reeling from the lost of jobs and/or homes, a shaky economy and uncertainty of what may come tomorrow, women leaders of faith based community organizations are joining forces to encourage and teach the community to restore and reconnect with their faith and create hope for themselves and community, Thursday, September 27 thru Saturday, Sept 29, 2012.

S.H.I.F.T. Women’s Conference is a 3 day Women’s Conference that aims to  encourage, empower and restore people who are seeking to change the old ways of living to discover their God-Given purpose. The 2012 S.H.I.F.T. Conference will be held at Greater St. Peter AME Church, 950 Fayetteville Rd., Jonesboro, GA and offers a collective of workshops and a nightly worship service along with a host of guest speakers who include Dr. Yvonne Capehart, Prophetess Pamela Kimball, Pastor Lisa Smith, Pastor Adrienne Barnes and more. The events are hosted by Minister Elishia Dupree.

Primarily a woman focused, faith based event, 2012 S.H.I.F.T. Conference carries a special agenda that includes connecting with and addressing men’s issues. Elishia Dupree, host of this year’s conference explains, ““We believe empowering a woman empowers a generation so we want to make a special effort during this year’s conference to connect with our men, simply because we know that if we as women are affected by the current climate, then we know that our fathers, brothers, uncles, sons and nephews are as well. We want them to know that we are here to support them and together we can make it through any storm, trial or tribulation.” The conference schedule is as follows:
