McDonald Volkswagen Celebrates 50 years of selling Volkswagen

The dealer of Volkswagen was one of the first to bring the spirit of foreign cars and the joy that Volkswagen has to offer to Littleton Colorado.

Family owned and operated since April 1 1965, founder Douglas McDonald and this three sons, currently own and operate one of the largest Volkswagen dealerships in the United States. The McDonald family says they pride themselves on selling customers high-quality and good service- a business practice that has been embedded into memory by Mr. McDonald’s father. Douglas McDonald’s father was a car salesman in New Mexico and due to his hard work ethic; he was promoted to General Manager. A few years later, Mr. McDonald opened up a Dodge dealership in New Mexico. Douglas McDonald admired his father’s hard work and decided to follow suit in the automotive industry. With hard work, patience and integrity, McDonald Automotive Group was founded and is celebrating 50 years of successful business.
