Plustek USA Announces New OpticFilm 120 Scanner for Professional Quality Film Scanning

(www.plustek.com/usa), a manufacturer of consumer, prosumer and professional imaging devices, announced today an extension to the their award-winning OpticFilm line of scanners with the launch of its new OpticFilm 120 film scanner, delivering professional image quality results from 35mm film strips, slides, and 120/220 film formats from 6x4.5 up to 6x12.

Bundled with the purchase of the OpticFilm 120 scanner is LaserSoft Imaging SilverFast Ai Studio 8, which includes Multi-Exposure and iSRD – two essential technologies for scanning film strips and slides.  Multi-Exposure enhances dynamic range, diminishes noise, and enriches image detail.  SilverFast iSRD electronically removes dust and scratches from film using the scanners’ built-in infrared channel.

The superior image quality of the OpticFilm 120 is backed by state-of-the-art optical and electronic systems, including an eight-element glass lens with a measured 5,300 dpi optical resolution, and stable LED light source.  These unique attributes bring photographers a result in image quality that it was only found previously in drum scanners.
