Social Media Agency, Ingenex, Hires New Eco-Friendly Interns

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 25, 2012 - Ingenex Digital Marketing, with offices located in Ann Arbor and Chicago, is welcoming seven new interns to the Eco-Friendly internship this fall to the Ann Arbor headquarters. The internship offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain job experience within the world of digital marketing.

The seven talented students and recent graduates that have been selected for the fall program are: Kalie Clay, junior at the University of Michigan pursuing dual degrees in Communication Studies and English; Eli Natinsky, graduate of Michigan State University with a master’s in digital media; Helen Lieblich, senior at the University of Michigan pursuing a degree in Communication Studies; Kulanandini Mahanta, graduate student of Eastern Michigan University pursuing a degree in marketing;  Emily Allor, graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in advertising; Ally Norris, graduate of Albion College with a bachelor’s degree in english; and Nagini Velagapudi, senior at the University of Michigan pursuing a degree in Communications.

“It’s been a great experience,” Natinsky said. “I’ve had the opportunity to learn some news skills related to digital marketing, such as blogging and search engine optimization. I’ve also had a chance to utilize my existing abilities through video projects. I took the New Media Driver’s License class last summer. It was a tremendous learning experience, and it led to my internship.”  

Eco-Friendly interns focus on social media marketing, search engine optimization, digital marketing strategy, and online public relations. They gain real life experience, and learn what it’s like to work at a digital marketing agency. Many interns are college grads, looking to get experience in hot areas such as social media marketing or search engine optimization. Ingenex trains 15 - 20 interns per year as part of the eco-friendly internship, and sends them out into the workforce. Ingenex interns often land great jobs at leading digital shops around the country.

“I’m excited about gaining a hands-on experience with social media marketing in the real world and learning more about SEO and SEM,” said Norris.
