Block Entertainment Worldwide Returns With New Energy And New Talent

Sept. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Atlanta, GA-September 24, 2012-Music mogul and CEO Russell “Block” Spencer is pleased to announce the re-invention of his company, Block Entertainment Worldwide. With new acts and new energy, Block Entertainment Worldwide continues it’s mission to  “build hip-hop block by block.”

The first two acts to be released on the newly restructured label is a five-man rap group Rebel Gang, Jamaican born singer Kris Kelli, and Atlanta-bred rapper “Chip”. Rebel Gang is comprised of: Ramel “Gusto” Crenshaw, Desmond “Rico Cash” Morris, Jordan “Chip” Holt-May, Diamonte “Maniac” Kendrick, Antonio “Trigger Slim” Johnson, Chenitez “Slum” McCollum, Marquez “Rebel Wally” Dawson, Darius “Dread Greedy” Scott and Brandon “Spook High Rebel” Proctor. With a unique sound, diverse blend of styles and powerful lyrical talents, the members of Rebel Gang are ready to claim their positions in the competitive music industry. They are currently preparing for the release of their new Mixtape The Rebellion on September 27th.

“For years we have been shaping and growing Block Entertainment to be a force within the industry,” says Spencer. “We are happy to find a new structure and a new formula with which we can manifest an even greater success.”

Spencer has an extensive career in the music industry having been a top-level executive for almost 20 years. He is the former President of Suave House Records and was instrumental in the early signing of 8Ball and MJG as well as Rick Ross. After ending his tenure at Suave House, he founded Block Entertainment Worldwide in 2000. Through his label he was responsible for handpicking and launching Boyz-N-Da-Hood (Big Gee, Jody Breeze, Young Jeezy, and Big Duke). In 2005, he partnered with Sean “Diddy” Combs in a multi-million dollar deal to head Bad Boy South. Spencer’s biggest mainstream success was Yung Joc’s platinum debut album “New JocCity.” After partnering with various labels, he now is embarking on a new journey with the newly transformed Block Entertainment.
