Industry Recognition for Dusit International’s Jiri Kobos

Sept. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- September 2012: Vice President Operations, Dusit International (http://www.dusit.com/), Jiri Kobos, has been recognised by Hotelier Middle East  in its fourth annual Hotelier Middle East Power 50 (http://www.arabianbusiness.com/hotelier-middle-east-power-5o) as one of the regions most influential hoteliers.

In 2012, the Power 50 list is dedicated to hotel operators, judged on their management merits, as determined by the editorial team at Hotelier Middle East.

A 30-year industry veteran, Mr Kobos has held senior management positions in Africa, Europe and Asia, including ten years with Hyatt Hotels Corporation.  He is currently responsible for the operations and performance of the Dusit International worldwide hotel portfolio, taking a proactive role in the execution of quality standards, employee performance and guest satisfaction whilst also supporting the acquisition of leads for new properties.  He is also responsible for the concept, faciities and standards management of any new hotels, the most recent being Dusit Thani Maldives (http://www.dusit.com/dusit-thani/maldives.html) which held an official opening ceremony on 8th September 2012.

In the Middle East, Kobos’ focus remains on the core Dusit Thani brand, which launched in Dubai 11 years ago with new hotels opening in Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Bahrain.

Kobos was previously managing director and general manager of the 440 room Dusit Thani LakeView Cairo, and is now based at the Dusit International Corporate Office in Bangkok.
