CLS registers employees online from any internet connected device, and records every kind of learning event from a wide variety of providers. By assigning credits to these events, the cloud-based system allows employers to maintain an up-to-date record of employee’s informal learning.

Because the CLS records are cloud-based they are portable and follow the registered individual from company to company. This differs from Learning Management Systems (LMS) where records are kept private by a single employer.
