ZMBLND is differentiating itself from other organizations operating similar themed obstacle runs by offering greater value to participants through reinvestment in more awards, including $1000 in cash or prizes to be shared by the top three Survivors and top three zombies of each wave. More importantly, ZMBLND is innovating the whole obstacle/mud run space by offering a tech wave to launch every half hour after a standard wave has been launched.
Tech Survivors will be able to check in the ZMBLND venue on Foursquare.com, go on a mission on a designated tech-friendly obstacle course to find local tags, unlock secret badges such as food, water, first aid etc, exchange tips with team members, previous runners, future runners and all of that while being chased by a horde of zombies.
The first three Survivors to make it across the finish line with at least one life-line remaining on their belt, will qualify for the top survivor prizes. The top three Zombies with the most life-lines collected will qualify for the top zombie prizes.
The standard waves winners, Survivors and Zombies, will be awarded cash in the following order: $250 for first place, $150 for second and $100 for third place.
The tech waves Survivor winners will receive an engraved Ipod Touch for first place, Ipod Nano for second and an Ipod Shuffle for third place all in the ZMBLND “caution yellow” color. The tech wave Zombie winners will receive cash prizes equivalent to the standard waves winnings.
All participants who finish the race will receive either a survivor or zombie medal.
