Breakfast Seminar to Share Global Expansion Strategies for Emerging Businesses

Sept. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- RALEIGH, N.C. – Senior executives of high-growth companies will join IDA Ireland, Dixon Hughes Goodman and Mazars Ireland for a morning of speakers, panel discussions and networking centered on how to effectively scale and internationalize their business operations.  

The complimentary seminar, entitled “Beyond the U.S. – Using Ireland to Drive International Growth”, is hosted by Dixon Hughes Goodman and will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2nd, at Research Triangle Park Headquarters in Raleigh, N.C.

Designed for individuals in high-growth companies tasked with determining the location of business critical operations globally, the event will focus on how to build and support a network of international customers by leveraging Ireland as a gateway to Europe.

“With a highly skilled, educated workforce, technologically advanced environment and pro-business infrastructure, Ireland offers a vibrant ecosystem for emerging businesses looking to thrive internationally,” said Barry O’ Dowd, Head of IDA Ireland’s Emerging Business Division, who will speak at the seminar.  

Since 2010, more than 30 emerging businesses from the U.S. and EU such as Marketo, Sangart, Riot Games and Delcath Systems have established their presence in Ireland, working alongside IDA Ireland. These companies, characterized by their innovation, growth potential and ambition to expand, join global leaders such as Google, Facebook, Twitter and Intel, who also chose Ireland as their European hub.

Attendees will be able to learn firsthand the challenges and opportunities associated with high-growth companies pursuing an international strategy from Matt Parson, International Controller of Red Hat, who will share insights into the company’s decision to locate in Ireland.
