Enrollment has begun and the doors officially opened in this beautiful, state-of- the-art building in mid-September. Located near the North Dallas Tollway and SH121/ Sam Rayburn Tollway, the school is also in close proximity to the corporate offices of Bank of America, JC Penny, Ericcson, Frito Lay, Computer Associates, Hewlett Packard, PepsiCo, Yum Brands, Dr Pepper/Snapple, etc. Residential neighborhoods near the school include Kings Gate, Kings Ridge, Shoal Creek and Normandy Estates.
Castle Montessori co-founders, Varsha and Vikas Patel-also of Plano, were determined to find a location convenient for the thousands of parents in the area who look for the highest level of education and would consider a Castle Montessori education an investment in their child’s future. “We know there are many people working and living in this area who place a high value on a top-notch education as part of the foundation for their children,” Vikas Patel said. “And up until now, those individuals have really had no options available to balance the need for quality and convenience.”
The school’s Texas Hill Country design and ambiance creates a lovely and inviting learning environment which serves children ages 6 weeks to third grade. Earthy limestone and warm, aged cedar wood are aesthetically pleasing and give a feeling of history throughout the building. The 18,000 square-foot facility includes 10 spacious well-designed classrooms, an indoor gymnasium, library and computer lab, music conservatory with a baby-grand piano, outdoor areas for child-raised herb, flower and vegetable gardens, a video-security system and a security entrance system coded individually for each family.
Both Varsha and Vikas hold a strong belief in the importance of the daily details of school life at Castle Montessori Schools. Over the past several years they have seen many former students gain admission into the top, elite secondary schools in the Dallas area and in the country. Parents of those students have been very grateful and have acknowledged the role Castle Montessori schools have played in the lives of their children.
“Each of us must continue to remain intensely focused and not take anything for granted when it comes to the children. The hopes and dreams of the parents and the child are at stake,” Vikas said to Castle Montessori staff during a recent two-day training event.
In addition, setting Castle Montessori Schools apart from other garden-variety Montessori schools is the fact that all lead teachers/Directresses in the classrooms are fully certified through AMI, AMS or MACTE credentialing agencies.
Varsha Patel hosts daily personal tours of the school and helps parents during the enrollment process to become familiar with the school and day-to-day happenings. “It has been wonderful getting to know each family and child on an individual basis. As this school grows, I can see a wonderful community of families (some who already know a great deal about the Montessori method and some who are just learning) beginning to form,” she said.
