The celebrated pattern, a New World interpretation of a Japanese motif, was first produced in 1880. Two Baroque forms are applied a profusion of chrysanthemums.
The feet, rims, handles, and spouts are densely ornamented. Reeded corners, scalloped rims, bud finials, and squat scrolled feet. Kettle has swing handle. Teapot, coffeepot, and creamer have scroll handle. Sugar has bracket handles. Tray is rectangular with bracket handles.
