Sandtex Trade Puts Specifiers In The Picture With Premium Trim Systems

Four different trim coating systems are available, which can be used to deliver a high gloss or contemporary eggshell finish on both types of substrates.

For exterior woodwork such as doors, architraves and window frames, Sandtex Trade Flexible Primer Undercoat provides a premium foundation for decorative finishes. It has an adhesion promoting formulation and will flex with the substrate as it moves.

Where there is a requirement for exterior woodwork to have a traditional high sheen finish that will stand up to the elements, Sandtex Trade Flexigloss X-tra, used over Sandtex Trade Flexible Primer Undercoat will deliver up to ten years proven performance (manufacturer’s guarantee) and has been awarded a British Board of Agrément Certificate for up to 8 years’ durability.  

For a durable but more subtle mid-sheen finish, Sandtex Trade Eggshell X-tra is the recommended top coat. Both decorative coatings flex with the substrate as it expands and contracts, thereby alleviating flaking and cracking, and both contain advanced UV inhibitors to provide maximum resistance to fading.

For exterior metalwork including ferrous and non-ferrous metal surfaces and weathered or treated galvanised steelwork, Sandtex Trade Rust Inhibiting Primer Undercoat is the recommended foundation.

This versatile corrosion resistant combination product can be used in conjunction with Sandtex Trade Metalgloss X-tra, or with Sandtex Trade Eggshell X-tra, depending on the finish required.

The Metalgloss X-tra system boasts ten years proven performance (manufacturer’s guarantee).

Colour choice is also assured with Sandtex Trade Flexigloss X-tra, Metalgloss X-tra and Eggshell X-tra all available in a wide range of shades.
