Superintendent Primary Rivals Join Forces to Better Education

Sept. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Pinal County, Arizona - Today, Jill Broussard and Anthony Gonzalez (former Republican primary opponents for Superintendent of Pinal County Public Schools) announced that they will join forces to ensure that a Republican wins the position. The two former contenders, in a rare move in politics, became friends during their primary and were noted for running the most respectable campaign of the primary season. “We had the chance to become friends during the primary season, and we realized that we share a common vision for the future of education. The voters have spoken as to who they wish to put on the ballot, but we both are educators seeking to make sure that the current superintendent is replaced by a fiscally conservative education leader this November”, said Gonzalez.

The duo held a joint formal announcement of the plans to work together.“It is my pleasure to announce today that Anthony Gonzalez will be co-chairing my campaign in the general election. I cannot see a better team to work together in this election cycle for education. Pinal County will benefit from the diversity of knowledge and positive changes that can be implemented for the education of our children”, said Broussard. The two have already began planning events and the campaign is going in full steam. In the immediate future Jill will attend numerous events, and meet thousands of Pinal County Residents.
