PRLog - Sep. 22, 2012 - ESSEX, U.K. -- The competition is part of the Miss Black Africa Pageant and Charity Awards. The Miss Black Africa Organisation is founded on the basis of using the appeal of a Beauty Queen to groom young women as positive role models and impart into them, the spirit of giving and helping the less privileged.
The organisation through its reigning queen, Ruvimbo Chinzou has raised thousands of pounds for charity in the last year. It organised a 30K beauty queen run, numerous fundraising events and released a charity single titled Be The Hope which is available on iTunes and Amazon for download. Proceeds of that single will go to Street Child Africa.
The event will begin with the Grand Finale of Miss Black Africa Beauty Pageant whereby a distinguished panel of judges will select the New Queen from four rounds of competition. The organisers say that they are looking for a confident, elegant and intelligent lady with a sense of purpose. She must exhibit the qualities of a positive role model and understand the roles and objectives of a beauty queen.
This will be followed by an Award ceremony recognising African women and organisations that have made a positive contribution to their communities or African causes worldwide. Recipients of these awards will be presented with their trophies at the event.
The event starts at 7PM with a Red Carpet and Drinks Reception while the show will begin at 8PM. Expected on the Red Carpet are dignitaries, professionals and celebrities from the Film, Fashion, Beauty, TV and Media Industries.
