Dima feels like his time at UAT prepared him well by providing a great collaborative space. He says that not only did his classes give him the knowledge he needed, but the environment also allowed him to work with other students and professors on outside projects, preparing him for his career. During his time at UAT, Dima made it a point to surround himself with other creative, hard-working people that helped him push his own boundaries and compare himself not necessarily to his peers, but to industry professionals.
He said, “You're competing with people who have been in the industry for years so you can't compare your work to that of your peers. You have to work really hard until your work matches the quality of established professionals, and once you reach that goal I'm pretty sure what follows is more work.”
Dima is skilled in multiple disciplines, but he shines best when he is a part of production and design that is actually built into 3D. His personal goal is to combine the influences of architecture, fashion design, graphic design and generative art with the world of game art and illustration to produce new and fresh designs.
