Company’s marketing efforts also sweep this year’s National Mature Media Awards
(SEATTLE) September 21, 2012 – Seattle-based senior housing management company Leisure Care, a One Eighty company, won a Gold Stevie® Award at the 10th Annual American Business Awards ceremony this week. Leisure Care received the top honor for its website (http://www.leisurecare.com) in the Hospitality & Leisure category.
Leisure Care was selected out of more than 3,000 nominations from organizations of all sizes and from virtually every industry, with 270 executives nationwide participating in the judging process. The other finalists in the Hospitality & Leisure category included Napa Valley Marriott’s website and Carnival Cruise Lines’ Funville website redesign.
“We are honored to be among such a high caliber of creative companies and — as a senior living company — to stand out within the hospitality industry,” said Leisure Care Senior Vice President Jason Childers. “The new and improved LeisureCare.com went live in January 2012, and now better reflects the company’s distinctive Five-Star Fun personality and level of service. The site features the industry’s first-ever Build Your Own Retirement tool; it’s a fun way for folks to identify the Leisure Care community that best fit their needs and wants.”
Earlier this year, the company was presented with a Gold Stevie® Award for Marketing Campaign of the Year for its Five-Star Fun advertising campaign in the Hospitality & Leisure category. Leisure Care now has six Gold Stevie® Awards.
This most recent honor comes on the tails of Leisure Care’s seven awards in the 2012 National Mature Media Awards Program. The company won an award for each of its entries: Best Website (Silver), Best Website Design (Bronze), Best Brochure (Bronze), and four Best Ad Campaign awards for company and community campaigns (three Bronze and one Merit).
The 21st annual program, presented by the Mature Market Resource Center, recognizes the nation’s finest marketing, communications, educational materials, and campaigns designed and produced for older adults. Nearly 1,000 entries were judged by a distinguished panel of mature market experts from across the U.S. for overall excellence of design, content, creativity, and relevance to the senior market.
