CETAC’s products make an important contribution to Alzheimer’s research. There is growing evidence that metals such as zinc may play a role in the development of Alzheimer’s. The LSX-213 G2 laser ablation system is used by scientists as they search for metals in the brain. CETAC and its partner Photon Machines, Inc., continue to make significant advances in laser ablation technology. The CETAC CEI-100 capillary electrophoresis interface is used in studies to measure metallothionein, a metal-binding protein which is a promising treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. CETAC’s autosamplers improve the productivity of biochemical laboratories as they search for answers about Alzheimer’s disease.
