PRLog - Sep. 21, 2012 - CHESTER, U.K. -- At their branch AGM on September 18th, CLA (Country Land and Business Association)
CLA members arriving at Harthill Stud
The day began with a behind the scenes tour of Manor House Stables at Hampton near Malpas. These flat racing stables are part-owned by football star Michael Owen. Over 70 members were shown why a larger trophy cabinet will soon be required in the owners’ lounge.
It was then down the lane to Harthill Stud (http://www.harthillstud.com)
This was followed in fine style at a lunch hosted by Mrs Diana Barbour at Bolesworth Castle, home of the nationally acclaimed Bolesworth Classic, which is now a firm fixture on the show jumping calendar. (2013 dates are 30th May to 2nd June)
The day concluded when CLA National Vice President Ross Murray addressed the Cheshire members with a fascinating update on the policy work and lobbying done by the CLA, much of it behind the scenes in Westminster and Brussels.
The event was sponsored by property services partnership Berrys and law firm Brabners Chaffe Street.
