Presented by Nuvolite spreads and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of South Africa, the roadshows will feature Celebrity Chef, Deena Naidoo, with active participation from the audience.
“I encourage family’s to get down to the entertainment zones to see Deena Naidoo in the cooking demonstrations as well as loads of other activities available at the stand,” said Hilton Cairns, National Marketing Manager of Willowton Group, manufacturers of Nuvolite.
There will be three shows of around 45 minutes each daily on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday all streamed live onto plasma screens behind the demo kitchen. Next to it a Kidz Zone with a Wii Fit exercise area will entertain the children while parents watch the show.
Nuvolite’s healthy active lifestyle theme will be extended to satellite zones where partners Virgin Active will be doing live demonstrations, Vitamin Water will be offering free sampling and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of South Africa will offer free blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose screenings.
Brand ambassadors will be on hand from 10am to 6pm to guide people around the exhibition stand, to facilitate photo opportunities with the celebrity chef for a brief period after the demonstrations and to hand out a steady stream of giveaways and prizes. They will also help people load their “Lists to Live By” onto the Nuvolite website via iPad’s and explain how to win the prize of their dreams in this ongoing campaign by compiling a list of 20 life-changing things they would love to do. If one of their choices is selected as a winner they can make their dream come true.
Win a Dream
One lucky visitor per region will stand a chance to win a “dream” to the value of R10 000 at the Nuvolite “Dream Wall” if they stick their post-it on the Nuvolite wall at the exhibition stand which will be drawn at the end of the event in each region.
All of the recipes to be demonstrated at the roadshows have been specially compiled by Nuvolite into a 32-page recipe book, copies of which will be handed out as giveaways at the shows. These will also feature healthy tips from the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Nuvolite product information and nutritional tips.
Nuvolite’s three wholesome variants are medium fat spread, canola medium fat spread and olive medium fat spread – all are endorsed by the Heart and Stroke Foundation as part of their balanced eating plan. The brand also carries the foundation’s “Platinum Seal of Appreciation”
After the Durban event, the Nuvolite Celebrity Chef Roadshow moves on to Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria.
Celebrity chef Deena Naidoo prepares for the Nuvolite Celebrity Chef Roadshow which takes place at the Pavilion from 21 to 23 September as part of a four-city extravaganza featuring demonstrations on how to prepare quick and nutritious family meals.
