As Electronic Music becomes more mainstream in America, certain genres are becoming well known while other more traditional genres are being thrown to the wayside. On the debut album "Chances", by Dustin Lefholz, genre boundaries are not held with much rule, other than a way to navigate the scenery. From the lead off track, "Spinnin'", you feel that this album is about to embark on a journey of epic proportions.
Embark it does, by the time the second track and lead off single "Float On Bye" drops, you realize quickly that melody in Dubstep is possible. The tempos are pushed upwards of 160 BPM a reach from the traditional 140 tempo that Dubstep has became known. The collection meanders from Dubstep to Drum n' Bass to Complextro but continues to groove like Hip-Hop. By the time "Zones" hits, your mind has been lifted to discover a new sound that many will try and decipher for years to come. Throughout the remainder of the album, tracks like, "It's Dirty" , "Framed", "Burnin'" and "Bounce" give you a fresh soundtrack for life. This will be an album you will add to your favorites collection and one you will drop to enjoy, workout, dance, ride to or just listen to get inspired. Enough can't be said about this album and how good it is, you will just have to listen for yourself. The final track says it best in the title, "The Real Thing". "Chances" is the real thing and will knock your socks off. If you don't catch the wave now you will be sure to catch it on the next tide, as this timeless collection of originals will not dissolve quickly.
Dustin uses, Novation, Digidesign, Apple, Native Instruments and Rob Papen, among other brands and manufacturers to produce his timeless classics. "Chances" can be found on iTunes, Spotify, Beatport, TrackitDown, Soundcloud and other music sites and e-tailers globally on Sept. 14th.
