Rite Aid Glam Camp Model Search Voting Open Online NOW

Thirty semi-finalists chosen from over 3,000 entries for Glam Camp

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 20, 2012 - Orlando, FL – Cosmetic Promotions, Inc., a national beauty marketing and promotional company, is facilitating the Rite Aid Glam Camp Back-to-School program for the fifth year in a row.  The Glam Camp program includes a national Model Search to find the face of Glam Camp each year to appear in the ads.  Last year’s winner was Brooke Dalley, a 16-year old from Utah. The 2013 winner will be chosen from the more than 3,000 teen girls between ages 13 and 19 who submitted their profiles to www.glamcamp.com/model-search.

Five semifinalists were chosen each Friday beginning in early August by a panel of industry professionals including Seventeen magazine.  There are a total of 30 semifinalists for the final phase of online voting, which began on Sept. 17 and runs through Oct. 1.  Visitors can vote for one semifinalist once a day. The 10 entrants with the most votes on Oct. 1 become the finalists and will submit a video and more pictures highlighting their personality. On Oct. 15, online voting will begin again to choose the winner from one of the 10 finalists. The grand prize winner will star in the 2013 Rite Aid Glam Camp Seventeen magazine two-page spread and all 2013 Glam Camp promotional materials such as in-store signs, Rite Aid circular ads, Facebook page, websites, and email blasts. The prize includes a trip with one parent or guardian to New York City and $500 spending cash. During the four-day trip, the winner will receive a professional photo session, a complete hair and make-up session , a tour of Seventeen magazine, and a $750 shopping spree with a professional fashion consultant.

Maybelline, Clean & Clear, Rimmel, Sally Hansen, Cover Girl and Got2Be are the major companies featured in the Seventeen magazine Glam Camp two-page spread.  In most Rite Aid stores, there will be a promotional shelf display showcasing the contest along with brands such as Jesse’s Girl, Veet, Demeter Fragrances and Dove. Teens can receive a Glam Scarf by mail and access to the online Glam Camp Coupon Club when they send in their receipt totaling $15 or more from the featured brands.
