'Magdalena' Dressed up and Ready to Begin Filming

Sept. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES, CA — Sep 20, 2012  — New Slant Productions, Inc. whose most recent film, Pendejo, won Best American Comedy at the New York City International Film Festival, is starting pre-production on its next project that will be shot entirely in Puerto Rico. MAGDALENA, is a drama/thriller set in and around Old San Juan. Puerto Rican born, Sevier Crespo, of New Slant, says, “We’re excited to be headed to Puerto Rico to capture some of the amazing beauty and culture there.”

MAGDALENA will be helmed by Carols Jimenez Flores (Scalene, Motel 666). Flores recently finished another film shot entirely in Puerto Rico, Mi Princesa. Mike Falkow is the screenwriter.

The film will star Puerto Rican born actress Darlene Vazquetelles (Pendejo), Mike Falkow (Smokin’ Aces, Law & Order: LA), David Paladino (Leverage, C.S.I.), Robert Ricucci (Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde) and Sevier Crespo (NYPD BLUE, Fastlane, Pendejo).

MAGDALENA, with the tagline, the Devil has a plan too, isfully dresed up and headed to Puerto Rico to begin shooting November 10, 2012.
