Laurie Nicoll has been singing and performing from a young age, attending theatre school from the age of three, and writing songs from the tender age of twelve. Laurie still performs a song she wrote at just fourteen years of age called Question Answers. Her supportive parents encouraged her obvious early ability, and allowed her to leave full-time education at sixteen years of age to focus on becoming a singer/songwriter.
Laurie has now performed over fifty gigs in and around London, performing at Ronnie Scotts, Dingwalls, Proud Galleries, The station festival and many more. Laurie performs with a six piece band made up of keyboards, guitar, bass guitar, drums, backing vocals and herself on vocal. People have likened her stage performances to the lead singers of rock bands, engaging audiences with her electric stage presence and witty sense of humour. When it comes to stage performances Laurie oozes glamour, with her fashion label House of 1923 creating individual stage pieces for each gig.
