Linpop rapidly deployed a 100 Meg point-to-point wireless link from Gleadell's offices to the Linpop Co-Location centre, providing an exponential increase in performance of information flow and enabling the transmission of all DR data to the Linpop Co-Location site.
A virtual server hosted at Linpop is now permanently in a synchronised state with Gleadell's production server and ready to take over operational functionality should the primary server fail.
This means that now, Gleadell's will be able to depend on a reliable infrastructure and remain operational in the event of a disaster with minimal impact to business operations.
Gleadell was also able to take advantage of Linpop's ultra-high-speed Fiber link to its London-based data centre. Gleadell procured a 10Mb uncontended connection through Linpop's 1Gb Fiber links and is now able to back up five auxiliary sites over night.
This method is being rolled out across Lincolnshire 2012 whilst the bigger companies worry about Fibre and Funds.
