Robot Palletizing
A local business asked us to automate their product packaging. The robotic system is used to automate pallet handling and palletize automotive equipment. The system can handle boxes weighing fifty pounds each onto a pallet which reduces the possibilities of ergonomic and safety issues. Each pallet has approximately 200 stacked boxes. The system is actually 3 in 1, starting with a refurbished 6-axis robot. With that robot, we also designed and built all of the conveyor system, the pallet handling system and the pallet discharge system. The robot had to learn stack patterns for each product. There were approximately twenty stack patterns on this particular application. The robot uses linear guided vacuum cups to stack the product and automatically self adjusts for varying size products.
Forklift Scales
A large retail store chain in the United States asked us to design a weigh scale system for their forklifts. The FLSC Forklift Scale System was specifically developed for industrial and commercial applications and incorporates design features to weigh accurately under all conditions. A custom data management system was integrated in which validated data is transferred wirelessly to a central server or data center. Information is then available for use by account management to create an invoice, or inventory management for validation of goods and stock management. Information communicated include: weight, pro number, estimated weight, actual pieces, time/date of transaction, employee ID, site location, forklift ID, and calibration verification.
