Lonesome River Band To Celebrate 30th Anniversary in Nashville Next Week

Sept. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- The award-winning LONESOME RIVER BAND’s landmark 30th Anniversary celebration culminates next week with numerous Nashville appearances.  Fans will be thrilled to hear and see the band live on WSM Radio, SiriusXM Radio, Anniversary Evening concert and at the International Bluegrass Music Association’s (IBMA) World of Bluegrass.
On Wednesday, September 26 at 9:00 am, the band will appear on WSM Radio’s Coffee, Country & Cody radio show where they will talk about this year’s CHRONOLOGY VOLUMES ONE thru THREE album series on Rural Rhythm Records.  

At 11:20 am on September 26, the band heads over to the SiriusXM Radio studio where they will perform a special “Live From IBMA” concert on Bluegrass Junction at 11:20 am.  The event takes place in the SiriusXM Theater located at 509 Broadway from 11:00 am – 12:00 noon.  It also includes performances by label mates The Roys at 11:00 am and Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out at 11:40 am.

At 1:00 pm on September 26, LONESOME RIVER BAND will appear in the Exhibit Hall at the Nashville Convention Center as part of the IBMA Business Conference.  Fans can locate the band at the Moonstruck Management Booth #418.

Later that evening on September 26, LONESOME RIVER BAND will perform at the ANNIVESARY EVENING concert celebrating Lonesome River Band’s 30th Anniversary and Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out’s 20th Anniversary.  The concert is sponsored by Moonstruck Management and will take place at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Nashville located at 322 Broadway, Nashville, TN  37201 at 9:30 pm.  There will be numerous surprises and announcements by both bands during this special event - one of which is revealing the results of the recent Fan Choice Poll where fans chose the songs that appear on VOLUME THREE scheduled for release October 16, 2012.  

LONESOME RIVER BAND received a Nomination for the 2012 IBMA for INSTRUMENTAL RECORDED PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR for their song “Angeline The Baker” (from CHRONOLOGY, VOLUME ONE) album on Rural Rhythm Records.  Four-time IBMA Banjo Player of the Year Award Winner, SAMMY SHELOR is again nominated in that category.  Shelor is scheduled to be a Presenter and Performer during the IBMA Awards Show to be held at the Ryman Auditorium, Thursday, September 28.  The band will perform at the IBMA FanFest on Friday, September 27.  More information can be found at www.IBMA.org.
