Both riders have been sponsored £50 by Stadia Trustees to complete the bike ride, which takes place across the Colchester countryside on Sunday 23 September 2012. To raise the stakes, Stadia Trustees has pledged to award an extra £100 sponsorship to Bradley or Alex if they win the race.
The Help for Heroes Personnel Recovery Centre in Colchester aims to help in the rehabilitation of military personnel who have been wounded in service.
Tony Hales, Managing Director at Stadia Trustees, said:
“As a Colchester based firm we are always keen to help our local community, particularly a cause as worthy as Help for Heroes. Bradley is the more experienced rider in the race but I am confident that Alex will be hot on his tail as they battle it out to the finish line! The event looks to be an exciting one with a considerable amount being raised for charity. I commend Alex and Bradley for their efforts.”
Alex Hales, business development manager at Stadia Trustees, said:
“Help for Heroes is a charity that I am extremely passionate about and, being from Colchester, this is even more important for me as it is for a good cause within the local area. I look forward to the challenge of competing against Bradley, but most importantly, I look forward to raising money for this worthy cause.”
